MISSION STATEMENT AND ACTIVITIES

The Department focuses mainly on education and professional preparation of students who after graduation will provide nursing care to patients in healthcare facilities, care homes, schools, homes, families, communities and at places where nursing care is required professionally, responsibly and individually.
The Department conducts research and other professional activities.

Education

The Department provides education in the following accredited study programmes:
a/ Full-time Bachelor of Nursing
b/ Part-Time Master of Nursing
PhDr.-Study
Further education in nursing specialties:

a/ Internal Medicine Nursing
b/ Public Health Nursing
c/ Theatre Nursing

The courses of the bachelor curriculum focus on:
Nursing Theory, nursing process, nursing in clinical specialties, development of practical skills and competent ethical and psychological attitude towards patients
Master study program aims at primary care nursing, multicultural nursing, specific issues from selected fields of medicine plus management and introduction to research. In addition to this, humanist aspect provides the final puzzle to the personality of the student of master nursing study program.
