Honorary Rector of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava
 

 

Prof. Ján Štencl, MD, PhD. acted as Director of the Institute of Further Education of Professionals in Healthcare since March 25th, 1996, later renamed the Slovak Postgraduate Academy of Medicine. He was the leader of the legal successor to the Academy, the Slovak Medical University, since its establishment on September 1st, 2002. On October 1st, 2002, he was appointed the Rector of the Slovak Medical University by the President of the Slovak Republic.

Ján Štencl spent two terms as the head of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava.

For his efforts in founding and advancement of the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava, Prof. Štencl was named its Honorary Rector by the Academic Senate of the University.
