Full–time form of bachelor study in the programme physiotherapy and urgent health care is being developed in all the Bologna formal higher education cycles to enable compatibility of education and international mobility of students within EU.
The curriculum is designed in terms of directives of the European Union for semi regulated professions to achieve competence for performing of the profession.
The study is organised on a daily class attendance including tutorials and based on credit system.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR STUDY PROGRAMME (Bc.) are conditioned by:
- successfully completion of secondary education or secondary vocational
- education,
- successfully passing the entrance exam-written test,
- successfully passing an exam in physical fitness,
- certificate of medical practitioner confirming capability to study,
- profession of a physiotherapist and an emergency medical technician /
- paramedic.
The applicant will be invited to the entrance test only if he submits fully completed and signed application form in the stated deadline, including all required documents translated in English and payment for the Entrance examination fee.

Entrance test contains two parts: written test in biology and physical fitness test.
1. Written test in biology
The test in biology consists of 90 questions focused on anatomy and physiology of the human organism. Each question offers four possible answers that the examiner can choose from. Only one answer can be correct. The total test time is 60 minutes.
2. Physical fitness test
The physical fitness test is based on testing the following skills and capabilities:
ATHLETICS ( running on tartan track)
1. Speed testing : 50 metres sprint
Assessment: maximum 20 points.
2. Endurance testing: 12 minute run (Cooper test)
Assessment: maximum 20 points.
SWIMMING (100 m)
Further information about admission will be subject to the Learning Agreement between the student and Slovak Medical University.
