Rigorous Examination Proceedings
- According to Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education and amending other acts, as amended), rigorous examination proceedings are for candidates to demonstrate that they have acquired extensive knowledge in a subject through independent study and completing an independent scientific thesis work. Candidates are able to independently learn new scientific information, develop it creatively, and are able to apply their knowledge into practice.
- Rigorous examination proceedings may only be held in accredited study programmes.
- The Faculty of Nursing and Professional Health Studies offers rigorous examination proceedings in the accredited study programme 7.4.1 Nursing.
- Rigorous examination candidates in Nursing must have completed their higher education in Nursing or a related study programme in Slovakia or abroad.
Arrangement of Rigorous Examination Proceedings
The arrangement of rigorous examination proceedings is directed by the Directive of the Faculty Dean – Rigorous Examination Proceedings at the Faculty of Nursing and Professional Health Studies.
Completion of Rigorous Examination Proceedings
Candidates may successfully conclude their rigorous examination proceedings by completing their rigorous examination and defending their rigorous thesis work. Formal matters and content regulations of the thesis are given by Directive No. 1/2010 on theses (accessible through www.szu.sk)
